Have you ever noticed how politicians evade questions they don’t want to answer.  Few of them admit it as did Gov Palin when she said, “I’m not going to answer the questions you want me to.” And then took off on her pet topic, energy.

Usually the pol will simply start on the question then veer sharply to something they feel is their strong point.

This is a good lesson for us when we are trying to sell our ideas.  I got my degree in communications psychology and learned long ago that people are easily moved in the direction that a skilled rhetorician wants to take them.  All you have to do is figure out your segue from their question to your answer. 

Just be a little more subtle about it than the Gov was.
