In the beginning there was a great void and the land was dark.  The people asked what shall we do?  We cannot see what we should be doing or where our work is taking us.  There was gloom, frustration and discontent.  Then, slowly, very slowly a glimmer of light appeared on the horizon.  Now people could see shadows where there had been nothing.  A man appeared with a new kind of light.  He called it knowledge.  Gradually, the light grew and the people began to see what they had done.  Yet without knowledge of from whence they came there was still ignorance.
